"Life is what you celebrate. All of it. Even its end."

Mike was an inspiration to many. He saw potential and found ways to help you achieve it. He was so witty and intelligent and never at a loss for words. He loved his family and being outdoors in any form be it cycling, hiking, camping, or just sitting enjoying a great view. He appreciated life and valued integrity.

He graduated from Wright State in Ohio with a Bachelors degree in Chemistry. He worked for several adhesive companies over the years. He was highly respected for his chemistry knowledge and technical background.

He moved to Savannah in 2001 and met his second wife. They each had two children and the blended family grew. He always said”I don’t want to be a father figure; I want to be a stranger figure!” That theory didn’t work. All four children loved him and with two granddaughters added he now became ‘Papa’.

He was an advisor to all of us. He could tell if something was wrong without you saying a word. And knew what to say to make you feel better.

He spoiled us and we will miss him dearly. He loved to give gifts for no reason and to plan vacations with many memorable moments. He could find towns with trivial historic value but unique places to visit. His sense of humor was dry but infectious. He was the king of puns. His smile and twinkling eyes lit up a room.

He is survived by his wife, a son, and daughter, a step-daughter and step-son, two granddaughters, his brother, and his sister.

To my husband I say,” your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words, and missed beyond measure.”
