Dwight Lynn Devore, 59 of Live Oak Florida and Blue Ridge Georgia, passed away on Saturday April 13, 2019 in Fannin County Georgia.
Born in Fort Myers, Florida, he was the son of the late Hildred and Clarice Swope Devore. He was a graduate of North Fort Myers High School, Class of 1977, and completed the Electrical Superintendent educational requirements as a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers IBEW Labor Union 941.
He was married to Tina Hopkins Devore from 1990 until her death in 2015. Dwight married Jane Muir-Isherwood in 2017 and retired from his Project Manager/Estimator position at Nearshore Electric the same month.
Dwight and Jane traveled back and forth between their Live Oak, Florida and Blue Ridge, Georgia homes. As a corvette enthusiast he fulfilled his life-long dream of purchasing and restoring corvettes. Dwight also remodeled his Blue Ridge vacation home and was in the process of building a tiny house on the Suwannee River before his untimely death.
Dwight leaves behind his wife, Jane Devore, his step-children Tyler, Westley and Libby, his Sister and Brother-in-law, Dianne and John Gardner, his brother and sister-in-law, Forrest and Debbie Devore, nephews David, Michael, John Jr., Rodney, Austin and niece Fleta. Let’s not forget his animal family, Peanut, Anna, Ruby, and his cat Shadow. He will be joining his parents and brother Donald Devore in heaven!
Dwight also leaves behind his Iron Bridge Café family, and his best friend, Lonnie Hayes. He loved his morning breakfast visits with this wonderful group of friends and was always grateful for Lonnie’s support over the years!
Many Thanks to all those attending Dwight’s celebration of life, especially to Grace and John for hosting the event.
