Post a memory

"Dale was an incredible husband, father, brother, PawPaw and friend to all who knew and loved him. "

Dale was an incredible husband, father, brother, PawPaw and friend to all who knew and loved him. He was lovingly referred to as “Grumpy” or “Satan”. But those who knew him best of all, knew he was a big softy with a very big heart. He loved black coffee, Marlboro cigarettes, a piping hot Venti White Mocha from Starbucks. Hot chicken wings, a good steak (medium rare), bacon, and bangers and mash. He also loved Guinness, Jameson Whiskey, the Atlanta Braves, the Tennessee Titans and Volunteers. He was proud of his Irish heritage and loved his family very very much. He loved to fire up the grill for family cookouts and sit around and tell all kinds of crazy stories. His favorite response was “Seriously?!” and he referred to his kids as “knothead” – and me too sometimes! Dale and I met on an online dating app and were together for 18 years.
I am thankful that he was an organ donor and was able to give someone the gifts needed from his donation. Thank you very much for what you all do, and for your organization. Dale prided himself on being a southern gentleman, and was the first to help anyone in need, especially the elderly and veterans. I know he is proud of our decision to allow him to help others through this organ donation.
Dale – Your presence we miss. Your memory we treasure. Loving you always. Forgetting you never.
Rest easy my love… we’ll take it from here! And… thanks for coffee!
