"My wonderful son, your love of life will live on in others. I will never stop loving you."
To know him is to love him. Generally, people use this when they don’t know what else to say about someone, but in this case, it is true. Cameron had an infectious personality, he just naturally drew people to him. He was funny, smart, kind, thoughtful, and caring. He was a friend to everyone he met. Although, like a typical teenager he had his moments where he could be stubborn, headstrong, and determined to do things his own way, this would only make him try harder to prove he was right.
Cameron loved to live life to the fullest, whether that was hanging out with friends or family. He enjoyed rock-climbing, zip-lining, skateboarding, playing video games, watching movies (especially horror), and listening to his music loud. He has given us so many wonderful memories. We are saddened that our time with him was so short, but the time we had we will never forget. And in true Cameron fashion, he surprised us one last time when we got a call on Monday to tell us that he was an organ donor. His reasoning was because he wasn’t going to need them anyway, but nonetheless, we have never been prouder of him. Allowing others to live while he can’t is just the kind of act we have all come to know and love about Cameron.
