While my son was dedicated to serving the country. He had many loves. He was 18 and served his country for one year six kk this and 16 days. He loves to serve the homeless veterans in our area. His goal was to make sure we all had a better place to live. He felt the world was such an u fair place and one person one minute one difference makes it better.

Celebrate the Life of
Brandon Thurber

Brandon Thurber 18, of Melbourne, FL, passed away November 10, 2018. Brandon was born January 28, 2000, in Holyoke Massachusetts, and moved to Melbourne, Florida in 2004. He had a lifelong love of paintball competition, SCUBA diving, music, computers and motorcycles. He was an avid participant in the US Navy Sea Cadet Corps from the age of 9 until 17, reaching the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class. While enrolled in the US Navy Sea Cadets he was also a member of the Cyber Patriots and Color Guard and participated in honoring Veterans service at events such as the Travelling Vietnam Memorial Wall. Additionally, Brandon was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 117, where he also participated as a member of the post's Honor Guard. After early graduation from Eau Gallie High School due to academic excellence, in May 2017, Brandon joined the United States Navy, attending boot camp at Great Lakes, graduating in February 2018 as Seaman 1st Class, E-3. Following boot camp, Brandon was sent to Naval Air Station Corry, located in Pensacola Florida, where he undertook training as a Cryptography Technician, successfully completing A-School in November 2018. Brandon loved the military and the challenges it presented, and had a bright future ahead of him in the USN.
