Hello to December and new faces in the LifeLink® Faces of Transplantation Calendar. Meet the Griffin Family.

Football is a way of life in Georgia, and Brantley Griffin was on his way to becoming a star player. Matt and Mandy Griffin, Brantley’s parents, were proud of Brantley’s approach to life. He was full of faith, always willing to help others, and personified his family’s values. “We only had two rules in our house. Do right, and be kind,” Matt says.

Brantley was 14 years old when an accident claimed his life. Supported by the outpouring of love from their community, Brantley’s parents chose to honor their son’s life through organ donation. They went on to create an additional legacy by starting #BGStrong Charities with the motto, “Do right, be kind.”

#BGStrong Charities partners with outreach programs in their community to provide funding, supplies, and much more. Through everything they do as a family, the Griffins share Brantley’s story and hope to educate and inspire others to give the gift of life. “Organ donation is a beautiful, wonderful gift and you can turn a tragedy into a triumph,” says Matt.
