Ana has always been committed to helping others and dedicated to using her talent as an artist to teach students to transform their ideas into artistic creations. When Ana learned Melvin, a young man whose path she had crossed with, needed a kidney transplant, she continued her life of service with an to offer to be his living donor.

Today Melvin feels that Ana is like his second mother since she gave him a second chance at life through the gift of kidney donation. This act feels, to Ana, like blessing and the mission God planned for her.
